Dodoma Capital and Grapes

The Region found at the heart of Tanzania.It lies at 4o to 7o latitude South and 35 Degree to 37 Degree longitude East bordering four regions, Manyara in the North, Morogoro in the East, Iringa in the South and Singida in the West. Dodoma is the national capital of Tanzania but most of the government offices located in Dar es Salam city. Parts of this region is a plateau rising gradually from some 830 metres to 2000 metres above sea level in the highlands north of Kondoa. Dominated with savanna type of climate, which characterized by long dry season lasting between late April and early December and short single wet season occurring during the remaining months.At the long dry season, persistent desiccating winds and low humidity contribute to high evapo transpiration and soil erosion. Great Rift Valley is an enormous geological and geographical features that runs for 5,000km from northern Syria in southwestern Asia to Mozambique in East Africa. Formed by rifting and separation of the African and Arabian tectonic plates around 35 million years ago. The Valley varies in width from 30 to 100 km and in depth from a few hundred to several thousand meters. Qatar Airways New Route to Kilimanjaro

During unveiling their expansion plans covering wide network of markets across the carrier’s global network.They announce from Effective July 25, the airline will launch flights to Kilimanjaro and it will be the second gateway in Tanzania after the first point Dar es salaam. The daily services will operate via Nairobi. Also Beginning August 15, Qatar Airways will introduces its third African destination of 2012 with the launch of flights to the holiday center of Mombasa,its second point in Kenya after the capital Nairobi. Amani Nature Forest Reserve

Established in 1997 to protect the flora and fauna of the East Usambara Mountains found in Tanga region, the nature reserve is now an eco-tourism attraction with an emphasis on walking and hiking. The area has a wonderful collection of birds , butterflies and plants some of which are only found here. It has been declared one of the 25 biodiversity hotspots in the world, containing a high concentration of endemic species. About 3,400 various species of vegetation have been recorded in the area, including about 650 different species of trees. Around 350 species of birds live in the East Usambara Forest, many of them rare and endangered. 23 species of African violets, 19 of them are found in Tanzania (the other four are in Kenya). it is possible to see four of the nineteen Tanzanian species in Amani nature reserve.
