Ngorongoro/Empakai/Natron and Serengeti trip itinerary

Day 1 Start from Arusha to Serengeti

Pick-up from hotel, drive to Serengeti national park.Arrive at late afternoon.Dinner and Overnight at Lodge/Campsite.

Day 2 Full day game drive in Serengeti

Enjoy full day game drive in Serengeti national park with an option of early morning and late afternoon game drive.Meals and Overnight in Lodge/Campsite in Serengeti.

Day 3 Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater. After breakfast drive to ngorongoro conservation Area with packed lunch box.Upon arrive descend down the crater for game drive.

Late afternoon drive to the lodge/campsite for Dinner and overnight in Ngorongoro.

Day 4 Full day at Empakai crater After breakfast drive to Empakai crater,Arrive at the rim of Empakai crater with packed lunch Hike into Empakai crater and a full day at your disposal.

Observation of flamingos and buffaloes.Dinner and Overnight at the Camp at the rim of the crater

Day 5 Trekking into the Rift Valley, base of Ol Doinyo Lengai mountain

Hike into the Rift Valley: steep cliffs on one side, Lake Natron in front and the impressive stratovolcano of Lengai on the other side. Down in the valley, we relax at a comfortable campsite near the lake.Dinner and overnight at Camp in Lake Natron

Day 6 Full day at Lake Natron Area. Hike to the lake shore with its flamingoes, and into a deep gorge with spectacular waterfalls to freshen up (water-shoes required, and swim suits).Dinner and Overnight at Lake Natron camp.

Day 7 Return to Arusha Drive through the savannah of the Rift Valley northwards until you are back on the main road again and continue to Arusha.

The Hadzabe live around Lake Eyasi to the south of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in northern Tanzania. They are the last remaining ancestors of the original hunter-gatherer tribes who first inhabited Tanzania.They are skilled hunters, and use a number of methods to attract game within range of their arrows, including the use of the horns of an antelope, attaching them to their heads while mimicking the animal’s characteristic bobbing walk, which draws other curious animals closer.
